Lynette Kuan

Hello, my name is Lynette Kuan.

I am a graduate of the University of Toronto and Queen's University with a passion for both teaching and learning languages. I am qualified to teach French and English at the Intermediate and Senior divisions. I completed a concentration in Teaching English as a Second Language during my Bachelor of Education program. I am also certified to Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL).

I believe that student engagement leads to greater student achievement and well-being. I believe that being an effective teacher is constantly seeking to improve and adapt materials for the benefit of the students. I believe in enriching the lives of students by creating positive relationships and learning students' strengths and interests to make content relevant for them.

I love learning languages! I'm fluent in English and French. I also know some Hakka, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean and Tagalog. I love playing the guitar and singing and being creative such as drawing, painting, and knitting.
