In 2014 I join the Syba Academy as the Head of Professional Learning. My role involves the development of the Academy's professional learning program, hosting face-to-face seminars and workshops, presenting at conferences, designing and teaching online extension courses, and managing the CLiP it! and PLP programs. I come to the Academy with 28 year teaching experience, the past 20 years has been as a lecturer in the School of Information Studies and Flexible Learning Institute Fellow at Charles Sturt University where I have trained 1000s of teachers, teacher librarians, librarians and information technologists at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. My research interests are multi-faceted and interdisciplinary, including the impact of school libraries on student learning, teacher librarians as evidence-based practitioners, inquiry learning within a digital world, iCentres as learning hubs in schools, digital citizenship, and education informatics.
