The world is an endlessly changing place populated by interesting people doing a variety of things and interacting with their environment. I love travelling to see how other people live and the living spaces they have created for themselves. If I cannot travel to a place, then I love to read about it.
I also love the challenge of learning new languages and how a language developed. Part of the challenge of visiting a new country is learning enough of the language to be able to negotiate my way around it without resorting to using English.
