In 2005, Lynn had a unique encounter with personalized medicine. Diagnosed with breast cancer, she confidently declined chemotherapy after her tumor was genetically analyzed by one of the nation’s first molecular diagnostic companies. Lynn went on to investigate and immerse herself in what many believe is the most significant advance of the last century: genomic medicine. She developed a model genomics program for a community hospital, the Genomic Medicine Institute at El Camino Hospital, in Mountain View, CA.

A native of Chicago, Ms. Dowling holds a BA and MA in Communications from the University of Illinois and a MBA from the University of Miami.
