I am a hiker, travel buff, and culinary fan currently living in Marietta, Georgia. My interests range from spirituality, board games, and politics to writing, cognitive psychology, and nature. I read as much as possible, and I am passionate about helping others become the best versions of themselves. I try to demonstrate my values through service to the local community and through political action campaigns. I feel strongest when I'm teaching and writing; it's how I do some of my best thinking. I aspire to be a life longer learner, and to that end, I recently completed a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on Metacongition, or Learning How to Learn so that I can best help my students master the content they are learning. At the the same time, I try to be a person that other people would enjoy being around by practicing kindness, enthusiasm, and respect.

I have three smart, capable, beautiful daughters (21, 18, and 12) and a brainy, engineer spouse who both ground me and call me to my best life.
