Dr. Lynn Childress has a D.Phil.in English from the University of Oxford. She has been a freelance editor for Oxford University Press for 28 years and copyedited more than 400 academic books, including books by authors such as Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Amartya Sen, Steven Pinker, and Elaine Showalter.
