I am a Master’s of Applied Science candidate in Biomedical Engineering, with expertise in biomechanics, biosignals and driving simulators.
I am a hard-working, enthusiastic engineer-in-training with strong, hands-on experience applying the knowledge of electrical, computer and biological systems to human-centered applications aligned with diverse and extensive technical skills and experience relevant to research and engineering.
I'm currently researching the difference in driver biomechanics and muscle activity between static and dynamic driving simulators.
I have a strong passion for promoting and encouraging women and girls to enter the STEM fields. I have been very involved in reinvigorating and mentoring the Guelph Chapter of WiSE: Women in Science and Engineering. Some of my tasks have included coordinating and expanding our Social Media profiles, and organizing guest speaker events.. I am also involved in planning the first Go CODE Girl event at the University of Guelph. This event exposes high school and younger girls to computer science and all it's opportunities.
