I grew up in a christian home ministering alongside my parents. My father was a prison chaplain and her mother was a teacher and vocalist. My mother and I provided special music when dad preached in various churches and for his prison ministry. I can remember standing on a picnic table in the middle of maximum security prison singing my heart. Now that’s a captive audience. During my high school years, I spent two summers in Latin America as part of a ministry group preaching the gospel through music and drama. I was also selected to go on tour with the Continental Singers.
I received music, drama and ministry scholarships to attend Oral Roberts University; however, I chose to stay home and help my local church go through a difficult transition. Instead, attended Wheeling Jesuit College and earned a degree in Psychology. Upon graduating, I married my high school sweetheart and began attending the ministry training school provided through my church in Glen Dale, WV. During this time of training I had the opportunity to travel across the United States ministering in conferences as well as Cote D Ivoire, Africa. My husband and I, Bill Themelaras led the worship and youth ministry for 8 years at Praise Family Worship Center. During that time they also developed an itinerate ministry traveling across the east coast and mid west, leading worship. In 2005, after starting a family, she join the staff of Covenant Church of Pittsburgh. I was the Director of Children’s Ministry which also included a daycare program. My love for learning and helping people lead me to attend the University of Pittsburgh where I earned a Master’s Degree in Applied Developmental Psychology. After earning my graduate degree, I began speaking at conference and workshops across the state of Pennsylvania on varied topic as well as joining the adjunct professor staff at two local community colleges. Currently, I am adjunct professor of psychology at Columbus State Community College, and on the pastoral team of Oasis City Church in Westerville, OH. I minister along side my husband and close family friends Adam & Tara Stewart. Also,I am a proud mother of 3 children.
