Lynn is a 3rd grade teacher who is passionate about engaging students in creative projects, connecting with experts and authors, and making global connections with other classrooms to share learning.

In 2010, Lynn led her class through several projects as part of the Making Global Connections Using Digital Tools Grant. Students shared their typical school day with children from countries in Europe, Asia, and North America.

Lynn led her district in the I-Pod Pilot Program (2011-2013). Students used photography as a medium to reflect upon their culture, community, and environment. Students developed an understanding of cultures, communities, and environments around the world by observing and discussing photos taken by their peers.

In 2013, Lynn was awarded a Blended Learning Grant. She is developing and refining units of instruction that provide students with the tools to learn at their own pace and explore areas for further learning. Lynn received a Teacher Center Funded Grant Project: Mexico and Phoenix Partnership for Success PLC in 2014. Lynn worked with another 3rd grade teacher to create e-books and an informational parent group to support ELA Module implementation and instruction. Lynn used Lego WeDo Robotics and LEGO Mindstorm with her students last year which allowed learning experiences across multi-disciplines to improve communication, collaboration, and team building skills.

Lynn is sharing her knowledge of blended learning as a Blended Learning Building Leader.

Robotics, Hour of Code, and Genius Hour are interests Lynn is pursuing with her students.
