Multiple interactions with red-eyed, jealous spirits as a toddler and a terrifying encounter with a wretched goblin-like creature at the same age are both true-life experiences for Lyn Reed, verified years later by her mother and sister. These memories and the precognitive dreams that began during her adolescence, and the out-of-body experience she had at 14, have all served as potent catalysts for solidifying her lifelong affinity for all things bizarre, forbidden, mystical, and other worldly.

Can the thoughts of a not-yet-conceived child alter the life path of its future mother? What if deceased loved ones interacted with us daily, and who are the Indigo children? What are advantages of dream recall, and how can a cleansing rain enchant a worrisome mind? Do magical stones work? Is Tarot real? Is this all really just a dream within a dream? The possibilities are endless, and Lyn wants to take you there.

Beyond the personal contemplations, though, Lyn’s beliefs and experiences emerge within her loosely fictional short story work, with a heavy tone, deeply descriptive language, and iconic scenery as a myriad of magically inclined characters seek answers to secrets that elude us all. She is also the founder of The Haunted Camden Project and serves as a volunteer editorial board member for the literary publication, VIMFIREmagazine, both of which can be found on Facebook. As a freelance editor, Lyn is also working on her first commissioned piece - a nonfictional memoir about a young woman’s lifelong struggle with mental and physical abuse she suffered as a child, her subsequent myriad of illnesses as a young adult, and her eventual recovery from alcoholism through spiritual faith. While open to a variety of editorial opportunity, Lyn does possess a particular niche for confessionals, and for fictional and nonfictional work regarding alternative spirituality, metaphysics and supernatural exploration.

Upon completion of her English and Creative Writing Bachelor’s degree with SNHU, Lyn plans to further market her editorial services, while also continuing to develop her fictional and nonfictional work with hopes for publication in both genre and literary magazines. When she is not reading, writing, take care of house and home, or working full time at her day job as a Medicare Claims biller, Lyn most enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, their beloved boxer, and extended family and friends.
