Life Lover. Curious Innovator. Natural Networker. Change Navigator. My career links theology, faith formation, and technology. My goal is to connect people, provide them access to resources they need, and build communities of practice to support and sustain efforts that enact the Dream of God.

I've always been interested in how environments fashion and form individuals and communities. I share how I connect the dots in my 2013 book Faith Formation 4.0: Introducing an Ecology of Faith in a Digital Age. It explores the ways each of the four eras of human communication (oral, written, mass mediated, and interactive) have influenced the ways Christians "proclaim the Gospel" (Evangelization) and "make Christians" (Faith Formation).

My perspective, skills, processes, and practices are anchored in over thirty years’ experience integrating ministry and media in parish, diocesan, church-wide, academic, and health care contexts. I like to learn and have an interdisciplinary PhD in Religion & Education from Boston College, a M.Div. from the University of Notre Dame, and a B.A. in Journalism/Advertising from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

I live on Cape Cod and am concurrently the Executive Director of Province I serving the seven Episcopal dioceses of New England and CEO of M3: Message, Method, then Media. M3 consultants facilitate new technology integration in theological education. Clients include Claremont School of Theology, Union Theological Seminary, Virginia Theological Seminary, The Episcopal Church Foundation, The Episcopal Church, and ChurchNEXT.
