  • In 2010, Lillian got the opportunity to work as Communication and Events intern at Breathe California, Golden Gate Public Health Partnership to assist with the annual fund-raising event Bike 4 Breath.
  • She then worked as an intern editor with the editorial team of InfoNews Channel in Phoenix Satellite Television in summer 2011, during which time she got intense exposure to knowledge and skills of media production.
  • Now she is a Research Assistant working on an e-Learning development project at HKIEd. She loves food, photography, writing, reading, and understanding cultures.

Lillian is trained in communication and sociocultural anthropology. She receives her bachelor's degree in journalism with First Class Honor from School of Communication, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2012 and continues to pursue postgraduate study in cultural anthropology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

  • Grew up in Shenzhen, socially and academically educated in Hong Kong and Taiwan, inspired by both the city of and people in San Francisco.
  • In-depth observation and understanding of Chinese societies (Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan) gained through interpersonal communication, reporting assignments on major events and social issues, and extensive qualitative research conducted over periods of time.
  • Also, with extensive studies in social science and humanities, Lillian maintains a continuous interests in different cultures and their exchanges, tourism, art, design and a growing attraction to economic anthropology. Key research topics include: food, migration, education and social media.
