I am a third-year student currently studying at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario. I am majoring in biological science and minoring in psychology. Science captured my attention when I was growing up and I felt drawn to enter a science program such as biological science. When I’m not working or studying, I enjoy watching movies and reading. Sometimes more than one book at a time. I am an avid sports player and have played a variety of them throughout my life and continue to do so when possible. Volleyball, soccer, track, and a few others are among my favourites. In addition to these hobbies, I love to travel and explore new places. My most recent destination was Greece and a bit of Turkey, but I hope to return to Europe and perhaps expand to the UK.

I’m interested in the biological field of science but also linguistics and psychology, so I am hoping to enter into a career that relates to one or more of those fields. I find languages very fascinating and the findings from psychological studies intrigued me. Ultimately, I thought that adding a psychology minor would be beneficial and a great asset. There isn’t just one scientist who I can say inspired me, because there are many scientists who I find very interesting. For example, Nikola Tesla and Charles Darwin have made me think about how a single thought and question could lead to discoveries that could change the world and how individuals think. It's incredible.

There are a couple different careers that I am looking at but ultimately, I want to be successful and be happy with wherever I am. I’m looking at applying to graduate programs in audiology and/or speech pathology. I’ve had some experience with audiology, growing up with multiple interactions with audiologists and ear specialists, so I know how it helps individuals which made me genuinely interested.

Something interesting about me that people might not know is that I have figure skated for almost 10 years and have played six different sports. I was quite competitive growing up so this was a great outlet for me. One last thing that isn this well known about me is that I have quilted since I was a little girl and continue to do so in my free time. Thanks for visiting my page and getting to know me!
