Murray Waas is an investigative reporter whose work has been featured in the New York Times-- in the newspapr's news pages, in its editorial pages, and also by its op ed columnists, among them Paul Krugman, Frank Rich (see this column as well), the late Anthony Lewis (see this column as well) and by and the late William Safire.
Murray Waas is a winner of the Goldsmith Prize. Murray Waas has beena finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in the category of national reporting. A series ofarticles by Murray Waas about the covert U.S. foreign policy that led up to war with iraq was nominated for the Prize and named as a finalist.
As an investigative reporter for Reuters, Murray Waas won the Barlett & Steele Prize for a series of articles in Reuters about the health insurance industry.
