Nonhlanhla Manana

I am Nonhlanhla Manana, born in Mpumalanga on the 27th of June 1993 and grew up in Soweto, Mofolo Village. I have a one sister (my twin) by the name of Nhlanhla and two brothers. I started schooling at Vukuzenzele primary school in Soweto and finished my matric in Masiqhakaze Comprehensive School in Tembisa.

I really love music and I am a very good singer. I spend most of my time studying, going to the choir and at church. I am a really ambitious and dedicated, hard worker, who enjoys discovering new things. I am a very confident person and not afraid of facing challenges. I love my family and being around people. Most importantly, I love sharing and helping others.

I started enrolling at the University of Johannesburg in 2013 and have been doing extremely well in my studies. Although I`ve encountered various problems along the way. I`m mergering in IsiZulu and Historical Studies. The reason why i chose to merger in IsiZulu is because i want to keep this language, which is my language alive for even the next generation to find, as plenty of my people look down on it. My wish is to remind them that we are who we are because of our roots, without them or knowing them, we are nothing. The two mergers I`ve chosen actually work in hand, as they are both about keeping history alive, as they say "without the past, there would be no present and no future".My wish is to become a super teacher, who will be able to bring changes to various children`s lives and to the community that i live in.
