Academic Adviser for UAE Armed Forces' students, seeking degrees from universities worldwide.
Conduct individual academic advising sessions with scholars discussing the choices of universities available both overseas and locally, discussing various majors available to scholars;
Assist scholars in choosing majors to pursue, based on their academic competencies and interests, ensuring that the appropriate major is selected by the scholars;
Coordinate with universities and obtain curriculum and course listings for all majors offered and develop a course plan for scholars for the duration of their academic program;
Advise scholars on taking courses that are relevant to their major and ensure that courses are taken in the correct order (respecting prerequisites) and the universities curriculum is being followed;
Conduct meetings with scholars at and before the academic term begins, and then as frequently as required as the academic term progresses, addressing any queries the scholars may have;
Monitor the progress of scholars in current courses and make adjustments to the developed course plan if necessary;
Schedule meetings with scholars to discuss any issues that arise including, but not limited to, course changes, changes of majors and all other academic issues;
Maintain reports of all advisory sessions provided to scholars, and forward them to the Specialist - Scholarships;
Perform such other duties as assigned by the Manager - Scholarships.
Participating in constructing and designing our scholarship's department website ; which contains full manuals and guidance for students intend to study abroad.
Participating in constructing the scholarship's Information Systems ; to follow up and tack students' academic progress and other admin issues.
Provide professional visa guidance services that acquaint students with the formalities and procedures involved. And help them in maintain legal study residency status in destination countries hereafter.
Briefing the accreditation status, the accreditation bodies, and the universities' ranking in the destination countries for the decision makers. Also conducting accreditations' delegations with Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
