Michael Strickland

Hi, I’m Michael Strickland — a healer, storyteller, and global practitioner based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

I bring 31 years of Spa and Wellness experience and 15 years in Spa Management and Human Resources, working both locally and internationally. My background includes spa consulting, design, and contributing to two major spa pre‑openings. I’ve always been a bridge between staff and management, helping teams stay connected, supported, and aligned.

But my deepest calling has always been massage and healing work. As an international therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working, learning, and travelling across the world — twice over — gathering wisdom from cultures, teachers, and traditions that shaped my approach to healing.

The heart of my practice is the 8‑Hour Mongolian Massage, a transformative modality I learned while apprenticing for a year with a 93‑year‑old Mongolian Shaman. This intensive one‑day journey clears energetic blockages and helps you release the story you were told — so you can discover the story that truly belongs to you. My work is about revealing stories, honouring stories, and helping people reclaim their own.

I am also building a transmedia company, Michael Strickland Productions, home of The Oracle of Shoes — a collection of fun, inspiring, and educational storytelling experiences designed to empower girls of all ages and help reduce global female illiteracy. Through transmedia storytelling, I aim to create tools that support personal growth while connecting individuals to a larger global community.

My mission is simple: To help people find their own story — not the one they were born into, but the one they are meant to live.
