What if the mind is a process of thought emerging from feeling, and feeling emerging from sensation? How would this view of learning and cognition affect our approaches to individual, organizational, and social change?

I love the interplay of emergent complexity, cognition, and design. My writing explores a framework for understanding emergence, a perspective of cognition as an emergent system, and ideas about how this perspective can inform experience design.

I've studied or worked in the areas of biology, organizational psychology, learning sciences, information technology, and education. I'm a software development and service design enthusiast. Whenever I can, I also practice yoga, puzzles, and traveling/getting lost in interesting places.
