Maarten Zwiers

Hails from the prairies of the northern Netherlands. Wrote a book about U.S. Senator Jim Eastland. Teaches History and American Studies at the University of Groningen. Interested in the U.S. South, the Caribbean, American politics, rural history, New Orleans, Wadden islands. Currently working on a new project called Race Land: The Ecology of Segregation.
