Skin Care
That's greater than three months in rehab in care so most patients with that have a stroke are going to have some you level love rehabilitation and usually that accounts for weeks over rehabilitation after their initial hospitalization they go to rehab center they have follow-up care at home and that rehabilitation is ongoing about 20 percent of those people actually need that care that extends beyond the three month mark which becomes long-term care 30 percent of them become permanently disabled okay so this is something that this is that reducible number by rapid recognition by education and people to recognize stroke and call 911 immediately we can get people to the hospital to definitive care and remember if we can get them in tithe hospital to especially to a dedicated Stroke Center activate their stroke resources so that from below decks can be applied to the ischemic stroke we can get through that blood clot and we can do that fast enough the patient will have little or no long-term effects from the stroke because over our rapid response and treatment I love that patient and I say our I mean our whole community because this starts with that person who recognizes the stroke calls 911 before we ever get there what are the calls well this is $73 billion plus every year at a lotta money being spent on caring for stroke patients if we can reduce the incidence have for strokes by reducing from preventable Belle Complexe risk factors such as managing high blood pressure inpatients such as reducing numbers of patients with diseases like cardiovascular disease or diabetes arm all these things can reduce overall health care costs associated with stroke and remember allot of those costs associated with long-term care up patients who now have permanent disability and this affects everyone doesn't just affect us and increasing our call volume it affects.
