Mable Taylor
Attorney in Chicago IL
Hi! Everyone! My name is Mable Taylor, and I am excited to be running for Cook County Circuit Court Judge. My motto is “Taylor Made for Justice.” I am a lifelong resident of Chicago's Westside, who has earned an undergraduate degree from Roosevelt University and a law degree from DePaul University College of Law. I have over 40 years of diverse legal experience with 27 years in private practice. In addition, offering an Externship to a Law Student at Western Michigan University, Thomas Cooley Law School. This Externship was required for graduation and the student received 4 hours of Law School credit for Mable’s Externship. Mable has been a Judge for the Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition held in Chicago. I have taught a variety of law courses at the following academic institutions: Roosevelt University, Robert Morris College, Malcolm X College, City Colleges of Chicago, and Illinois School of Commerce. I believe that my active participation in my community, serving on numerous community boards, along with my career in the legal field as an attorney, arbitrator, law editor, and professor qualify me to be Cook County’s next Circuit Court Judge. I want to be a judge because Chicagoans deserve a judicial system that is both fair and impartial; therefore, my goal is to make sure that all Cook County citizens are treated with respect and integrity.
What makes me qualified to be a Cook County Circuit Court Judge? Well, those, who have worked beside me, for me, and with me, describe me as a dynamic maverick, who is not only tough on crime, a devoted victim advocate, a responsible leader, a public servant committed to community safety, and a passionate crusader of justice - a description that I fully embrace. I feel that I am qualified to fill this important role because I’m not afraid of hard work or challenges, to make those tough decisions, to stand up for what is right and just. In fact, I have, worked to ensure that ALL Chicagoans receive the justice they deserve, not because I have to but because it’s the right thing to do.
