Barbara Jean Walsh is a freelance writer and editor living in Alameda, California.
She especially likes to write postcard poetry and to execute five-minute rants involving 100 PowerPoint slides, a art form that just doesn't catch on. Prior to a long career in the marine industry, she was a library director, English instructor, and newspaper reporter.
She has a B.A. from the University of Maine and an M.A. from the University of Denver, neither of which is doing her much good right now.
Most recently, she was the San Francisco Bay Ferry's Artist in Residence (for a day) and she also spent a wonderful evening as a live tweeter at the San Francisco Opera sharing her thoughts on Show Boat.
