My personal artifact is my volleyball metals from my competitions. My metals emphasize one thing that is very special to me, which is hard work. When I look at them, they remind me how hard I worked and trained to get to that position. My favorite metal out of all of them is my FHSAA metal. The summer before my freshman volleyball season started at North Broward Prep, I spent every day training and working out, so I could help out my teammates get to the positions that we wanted to get to. The team and I thought we would never have a chance to make it to the State Tournament. But as a team, we decided to make it our goal. When we step in the gym and court, all we focused on was getting better as a team and playing to the best to our advantages. Once districts had came up, all we thought about was winning one game at a time first. It turns out we won districts against Pompano High School. Then, we went into Regional finals against Ransom Everglades School. That game had determined that we would make it into the state tournament or not. Well, the North Broward Prep varsity team had made it to states. Playing in the Sate tournament was the high light of my volleyball career so far. The two games that I played in the Lakeland Convention Center, where the State tournament was held, My parents and I both thought the Semi's and Finals have been my best games I have every played in my entire volleyball career. Once I stepped out on the court, I just had a fun time with my team and showed everyone on how hard I work to be the player I am today. Receiving the FSHAA State Runner-Up Championship metal, was bittersweet, and showed that all my hours and time I spent training had paid off in my ways. It was the best experience in my life.
