An accomplished legal professional, Michelle MacDonald draws on more than three decades of experience in her work as an attorney, mediator, and owner of the MacDonald Law Firm, LLC in West Saint Paul, Minnesota. In her Minnesota practice, she works with clients on matters related to estate planning, probate, adoptions, and other aspects of family law. Michelle MacDonald also has extensive experience with real estate law, civil litigation, criminal defense and appeals.
In addition to her work in private practice, she spent more than 20 years as an adjunct family court referee and a conciliation and small claims court judge in Hennepin County. During this time, she decided hundreds of small claims cases and founded Family Innocence, a nonprofit dedicated to helping families resolve legal issues outside of the court system. She received recognition for her work in the judiciary when she was endorsed by the Republican party and recommended for endorsement by the Judicial Election Committee in her campaigns for the state Supreme Court in 2014 and 2016.
Ms. MacDonald received her bachelors in English and communications from Boston College and her law degree at Suffolk University Law School in Boston. She completed advanced training in family law and other legal matters at Harvard Law School.
