I worked in the medical office field for over 20 years when I decided it was time to retire and do something new. Now I travel around the state of Florida in an old Class A RV with my mom and sometimes with my youngest daughter. We started just visiting state parks, taking pictures and videos and writing reviews. We enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to try volunteering at these state parks. In return we get to stay 2 to 4 months and get a free campsite.

I have published a comprehensive resource book about volunteer workamping in Florida public lands. It is available in eBook and paperback editions on Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes and Noble, iTunes and more. It is called, "Insider's Guide to Campground Hosting in Florida Parks".

We have only volunteered in Florida State Parks but when researching the material for my book I found that there are more opportunities and needs in all of the public land and wildlife management areas. Once we have volunteered in a couple of the National Parks, Forests, County Parks and National Wildlife areas I hope to have enough material for a few more books.

Along with the volunteering, I am learning more about nature photography, creating handcrafted bead and wire jewelry, writing, videography and our environment. To help fund our adventures we sell our handcrafted items online, at craft shows and events as well as offer website and blog design services.
