Cheuk Lun Alvin Ma

Mr. Cheuk Lun Alvin, MA is now a teacher of science and mathematics and a subject panel head at the Hong Kong Institute of Education Jockey Club Primary School. He received his bachelor degree from the University of Hong Kong eventually earned his learning in the field of neuroscience and chemistry. After his one and a half year career as a sales and marketing executive at a pharmaceutical company, Sanofi Pasteur(formerly called Aventis Pasteur), Mr Alvin Ma decided it was time for a change of working scenery and to further his study at the Hong Kong Institute of Education, where he was offered a full-time postgraduate diploma of education(PGDE) study. After graduated from the Institute, he started his teaching at the Hong Kong Institute of Education Jockey Club Primary School. He recently collaborated on a publication with friends and colleagues, Miss Fung Yee Priscillia, KO, and Mr Tsz Wing, CHU titled "The Use of Social Network for Students' Knowledge Construction", in which he presented their research findings during the ICCE2012 in Singapore. He is currently working on his interests such as ICT for science, mathematics education and pedagogy, seamless knowledge construction and mobile device learning.
