Mission: To help Advanced Writers find an accountability support group to build momentum and finish projects with "more writing, less critiquing."

This is an online writer's support & accountability group (with optional in-person meetings held by local members).

Who can join

Advanced Writers creating long-form project (full manuscripts).

This is not a writing prompts exercise group.

Inclusive Queer, BIPOC, and safe space for all humans.

Acceptable Genres & Medium

Genres: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Auto Fiction, Hybrid/ Experimental.

  • Exclusion: Horror, gore, gratuitous violence (all sub-genres of horror; comedy and speculative)

Mediums:Screenwriting TV/Film, Personally Essay/Memoir, Poetry, Creativity Writing.

  • Exclusion: non-literary art mediums

Long Form: Full manuscripts (short film, features, TV), books, and chapbooks.

What is the critique format?

  • "Block Method" builds momentum and offers accountability and support to meet manageable goals for large projects. Group meets online 1x week in 4-week "Blocks." This method helps writers working on a project or enrolled in workshops without creating extra work, but rather supports the process.
  • "POMODORO-45" is an online long-form (2-3 hours) modified Pomodoro technique with "Workshop Bursts" (live brief feedback that's part geek-out, part writer's therapy).

Optionally:

  • Members may form traditional critique groups, requiring pre-reading and written feedback.
