Hi my name is Mackenzie Hofmann!
I am currently a senior at Vanguard University studying Communication with an emphasis in Health. I am looking for a career more specifically in Emergency Management for medical organizations.
I am also a 4 year collegiate athlete at Vanguard University. Through my experiences of being an athlete while in full-time academics, I have learned a lot. I believe that I have enhanced my team collaboration skills. Being on a team requires an open mind while also using problem solving skills. I have always been known as a friendly yet competitive teammate and I am looking forward to bringing these skills into my career.
I have a background in American Sign Language which has also inspired me to dive deeper into Disability Studies. Through courses at Vanguard University, I have learned how to accommodate appropriately to individuals who are disabled. I have enjoyed learning about Health Literacy, ADA requirements, & the fundamentals behind truly understanding the realities of this community. I am looking forward to incorporating these experiences into a career field that observes and assists individuals receive quality healthcare.
