Mackenzie Schmidt

I am an energetic, self-motivated and dynamic third-year student currently perusing a Liberal Arts degree in Honours Business Administration. My passion for self-growth, education and volunteerism has led me to explore various corners of the world, seeking opportunities to learn from others and share my past work and travel experiences in return. I am consistently fascinated to learn of different cultures, consumer behaviours and social norms in other societies. I continue to seek opportunities to further develop my leadership and communication skills with an emphasis on human resources and marketing.

My experiences working and studying abroad in foreign countries of Europe, Oceania and the Caribbean have allowed me not only to improve my French, English and German language skills, but also to meet and connect with many different people who all have different stories and perspectives to share.

As exciting as the opportunity of travelling to far away countries is, I also genuinely enjoy staying close to home and giving back to my University community in London, ON by organizing various fundraisers, food drives and bake sales with Volunteer Young Adult at Huron University College. Through creative problem solving, teamwork and a passion for change, I beleive we can all make a positive impact in our community and improve not only our well-being, but the well-being of our neighbours, colleagues and family.
