I became interested in PR (specifically Social Media) because I feel that it is an aspect of my generation that is going to take the business and PR world by storm. The creative and technical side of all social media is what interested me, along with being able to see the impact that this new social craze is going to have on the professional fields. Social Media to me is something that is continuously growing, and something I feel I can learn from every day.

I feel that not only is Social media going to develop quicker than someone can tweet about it but that it is going to change the way that people communicate with each other forever. Already people turn to Skype to call friends and family, rather than their phone. Phones are now used to tweet on the go and to SMS or MMS message friends. Email is no longer used as the main communication at work, rather G-chat, Facebook IM and even Facebook messaging has made communicating easy and efficient. Social Media is something that should be watched and carefully observed, because it is going to be something that everyone is going to need to keep up with, in order to keep up with their levels of communication.
