MaKayla Mackin

Hello, there! My name is MaKayla, but everyone calls me Mack. I'm originally from California, where I did modeling and commericals. I moved to Louisiana, and attended boarding school in Natchitoches sophomore year; Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts. Though, I originally went for Math and Science, I fell in love with performing arts and starred in many plays and musicals there. I learned about meeting deadlines and remaining on time for everything. Living on my own also taught me hard work and how to get from "point A" to "point B." I have held many responsibilities during my high school career. I was class President Sophomore and Junior year. I was also President of Theatre club and Treasurer of the Debate team. I also was a chair member of Improvasaurus, our Improve troupe. Holding these various positions taught me to prioritize and multi- task. I've been an Honor Role student all through high school and place a high value on school. During my high school career I have clocked lots of hours working for my father's business, managing computer programing as well as keeping books. I can accomplish a task well and efficiently. I'm also fun loving, but with a serious side. I know how to get things done with a positive attitude and friendly smile. I'm currently a junior, homeschooled through St. Thomas More High School, so I have some time on my hands. I would love to be considered for a position at Island Tan.
