Boat captain in Florida
There is a unique story behind each of my adventures in life, and many of them involve the open sea and helping people.
For 3.5 years I enjoyed a great journey aboard my classic wooden boat, which I purchased sight unseen and rehabbed pictured (not very well) at the right.
My journey began when I picked up the boat in Lake Erie and took her to New York then on to South Carolina and the Florida Keys where I spent the next few months making her seaworthy. From there I went on to Cuba, Cancun, Cozumel, Belize and then finally Honduras. This was the most incredible and challenging experiences of my life! Thanks to an amazing and generous old seafaring captain I met in the Keys, I finally learned to read navigational charts.
After arriving in Honduras I spent my time taking groups out on charter trips along the coast and to the Bay Islands. This was HEAVEN and I really never wanted to leave but family's needs called me back to the US. My mother and stepfather were in ill health and my dad had been diagnosed with Cancer and had little time left so I flew home to be with them and help as I could. My dad and stepfather passed within a month of each other and my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers and could no longer live alone so several years were spent caring for her with my sister. We were able to find her an amazing care facility in southern Utah where she is finally very comfortable and cared for.
Coming back to the US brought Morinda and Show Me The Money System into my life and the launch of the Show Me The Money System which is underway now.
My sister and I went back to Maui for 7+ months in order for her to work with her Real Estate business (Maui Homes and Loans) and for me to obtain the required courses for my Coast Guard 100 Ton Captain's license (figured it would be good to finally have it!).
We moved to Florida in 2014, purchased a small boat in order to complete all remaining inland waters sea time for my Captain's license and did obtain my license early 2015.
I worked for Xanterra at Crater Lake National Park as a tour boat captain for their summer season and it was amazing! what a beautiful place to be in the summer.
I am now back in Florida and looking for a Captain's postiion either here, USVI or Hawaii. Actually anywhere as long as I am spending my days on the water!
