Abhijit Mondal

Hi, I am Abhijit Mondal. I am a Software Engineer by profession. I currently work at HolidayIQ, a travel domain internet company based out of Bengaluru, India. Previously I have worked in social networking and e-commerce industries for almost a year.

I did my graduation in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Ya its my love for computers and technology that i chose to venture into Software Engineering and I'm loving it. I have a keen interest in Mathematics and Algorithms. I like to follow up with latest in Technology and Engineering domains and motivate myself to keep up to date. Although you may tag me as a 'nerd' or a 'geek' but then i would love to have those tags as they remind me that I appear to you what I wish to be.

Regarding my 'un'professional life, I get bored with stuffs very often so I always look for change here and there. Love listening to Bollywood songs, Hollywood action flicks and animated movies and series. I have a keen interest in travelling and exploring places and I dream of trekking at the mountain ranges in New Zealand (maybe the after effect of watching Lord of the Rings too often). Sports i only follow cricket, football sometimes.

I love viewing and sharing photos. Photos that have themes in them and speak for themselves are some of my favourites. My future goal is to own my photoNetworking website and I am confident that when I do build it it will be the next best 'Thing'.

Currently I am developing expertise and skills in 'Big Data', 'Information Retrieval and Search', 'Web Analytics', 'Data Mining' etc...
