My process of writing is like a Ferris wheel, never-ending and always beginning. When I write, I never stop revising. I continue to go back to the piece, rewriting and reworking multiple times. I like to change and edit things as simple as spelling, grammar and punctuation, or as complex as entire sentences, thoughts and paragraphs. I like to change my writing again and again until I know longer know where I began. It's hard to find the beginning or end of a Ferris wheel - it's always turning, its stops are a new beginning and it never seems to end. Like me, the Ferris wheel takes its time. Each revolution is slow and steady. Passengers are carefully loaded and taken off the ride like the words in a sentence. As rides go, Ferris wheels are not the fastest. I too work slowly, making way through sentence after sentence, revision after revision, taking my time as I go. Both the Ferris wheel and I work slowly through this continual process, only finishing when we know we have to – when the day is done. I am a Ferris wheel and my wheel is always turning.
