Maddie Bain

Hi, my name is Maddie! I have been at Academy at the Lakes going on 11 years, and I will graduate in 2021. I have been involved with the Ambassador program since 5th grade and I love it!

At Academy at the Lakes, I am involved in a variety of activities! I play golf on the Varsity Girl's Golf Team, am a member of the Girls Chorus and Upper Division Drama Club, and act in the Spring Musical every year.

Although I was very young when I started at Academy at the Lakes, I will always remember why I chose it over other private schools. When I shadowed at Academy, every kid was so welcoming and kind to me. They all wanted to play with me on the playground and eat lunch with me. The students and teachers at Academy at the Lakes are much more different than at other schools, and I mean this in the best way possible.

My favorite Academy tradition has been and probably always will be the Spring Musical. Each year at the Founder's Day Assembly the Spring Musical selection is announced. Last year, we performed "Leader of the Pack: The Ellie Greenwich Musical." Two years ago, I had the honor of playing Jane in "Peter Pan." I absolutely love acting in these shows, and they bring students closer together and help develop teamwork skills.

I would really like to go to college for interior design or theatre. I love every aspect of the arts, musical or visual. Academy at the Lakes is helping me reach this goal by providing me with countless music and choral classes and painting and drawing classes. Academy is a school that is very involved in the arts, and they offer classes that peak anyone's career interests. That is why I love my school so much!
