Made from Scratch
If you’ve ever lived or traveled in the South, you know that Southern food has a real “down-home” appeal. The fresh ingredients, the traditional cooking styles and the rich flavors are all a part of the Southern cooking experience. Sybil and Donna at Made from Scratch grew up in the South and their baking style is influence by all the afternoons spent helping their grandmothers’ whip up biscuits with jam, or make bread pudding with fresh, home-made sauce, or mix up that mouth-watering peach cobbler, or bake that delicious, buttery layer cake. We grew up learning the recipes that make Southern style baking special and we are bringing these special flavors to Philadelphia.
