Madelaine Memmer
Hello, I'm Maddy.
I'm a twenty-something spiritual seeker. I love to read, dance, sing, laugh, travel the world, eat delicious food and I really love to write, hence why I'm keeping a blog.
What I believe:
I believe in God.
I believe in prayer.
I believe in the power of love in all its beautiful forms.
I believe in truth, whatever that may be.
I believe in the human spirit.
I believe there is unstoppable and blinding beauty even in the most unexpected places and unexpected people.
I plan to write about these topics as well as musings about relationships, sex, anger, career and life purpose, money, meditation, travel, forgiveness, jealousy, fear. Basically, all the things that encompass being human while seeking a Higher Power on my personal journey.
What I'm not:
I'm not a Christian or a New Age Aquarian. I don't feel I fit neatly into either category. I'm not even really religious, however, I believe in God and the Bible as well as teachings of the Buddha and many current spiritual teachers from Osho to Marianne Williamson to my teacher Alfonso de Rose.
I'm not someone who has it all figured out and I'm not even going to pretend to.
I'm not someone who is going to let heartbreak, pain, disappointments, fear and failure stop me from learning, growing, trying again and loving wholeheartedly.
Why should you read my blog?
If you're human and have ever wondered about God or the meaning of life then plain and simply, you will probably relate to things I write about. Basically, if it interests you at all please read. I'm actively on a spiritual path but I am human and that means somedays I don't feel like meditating, sometimes I forget to pray and sometimes I am too stubborn to practice forgiveness. However, that's why these things are often called "practices". Sometimes, you have to work at it.
