My name is Madeleine Bowser. I am a freshman at Kennesaw state University and I have lived in Georgia all of my life. I have an older brother who is a senior at Kennesaw, which was one of the reasons why I decided to go here! My family is the opposite of tradition. Nothing is ever planned out- we are always super last minute for anything. This being said, my parents ironically have high expectations for me. The expectations are reasonable and challenging, but I know they want me to be the best I can be in this stage of my life.

Some challenges I have faced in the last few years include the reality that life isn't what you expect it to be. I had expectations to play basketball in college. Unfortunately I tore both of my ACLs during my high school career. Having played basketball since I was 5 years old, it has been a hard transition for me to not be doing a sport constantly. Re-identifying myself was a challenge for the first year, but as time goes on I know God changed my life so I could do more for others.

I love to go shopping, watch movies with friends, play sports, hike, surf, snowboard- I definitely love being outside. I also love to give. I would buy the people I love the world if I could! Things I am less enthusiastic about include not being busy for a long period of time. I thrive on a busy schedule, and I have a hard time relaxing when I have nothing going on. I hope to someday use that to my advantage and succeed into becoming a lawyer.
