I’m a librarian, photographer, hiker, reader, educator and learner, tea drinker, traveler...etc. I'm from Seattle the US (and live and work in Seattle after many years away in Argentina, Japan, Nevada and Switzerland). I like skiing, running, instagramming, verbing random words, getting lost in interesting places, books, photography, travel, hiking and the ocean.

I find a lot of stuff interesting and worth researching, including: millennial-generation students and multimedia production, the mass incarceration of the Japanese American community, participatory photography, supporting student researchers, third-culture kids’ information needs, media justice and equitable access to information, global library and information literacy issues, and learning spaces.
