Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich

As a founding Partner of Lesnevich & Marzano-Lesnevich, LLC, a family and trial law firm, Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich possesses an accomplished career in handling complicated matrimonial law cases. Named a Super Lawyer by the New Jersey Monthly magazine every year since 2005, Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich maintains an active presence in the regional and national legal community. She has shared her expertise with colleagues around the country through speaking engagements and articles in several industry publications.

Shortly after graduating from Rutgers School of Law-Newark with her Juris Doctor, Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich founded the Hackensack, New Jersey-headquartered Lesnevich & Marzano-Lesnevich with her husband, attorney Walter A. Lesnevich. She heads the firm’s a11-attorney team of matrimonial litigators, which tries cases of divorce, custody, division of assets, domestic violence, spousal support, grandparents’ rights, and similar issues. Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich and her colleagues within the firm’s Family Law Division advise clients on the best courses of action in a given legal situation and counsel them on how to proceed in a proactive manner that takes into account their goals and obligations. While Ms. Marzano-Lesnevich and her team hope to settle matters of family law through civil negotiations between both parties, they are prepared to go to court and argue cases if doing so is in the client’s best interest.

During her career, Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich has acquired a long list of industry accolades and shared her experience handling sensitive family law matters with other legal professionals. Among her many accomplishments, she received the New Jersey State Bar Association Distinguished Legislative Service Award in 1996, and she served on the faculty of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers’ (AAML) Summer Institute for Training Family Law Associates. Additionally, Ms. Marzano-Lesnevich has spoken at dozens of national and regional events, including the AAML’s Family Law Forum, a number of New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education-sponsored gatherings and New Jersey State Bar Association conferences. Her editorials and articles have been featured in leading legal publications such as the New Jersey Law Journal, the Journal of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and New Jersey Lawyer magazine.
