Artist, Customer Supporter, and Father in Austin, Texas

My name is MadHatter McGinnis, and my passion is to bring your ideas to life. Here is the story thus far:

I was born in the tiny town of Mulvane, Kansas in 1980. Growing up around computers and other electronic devices, I quickly grew to adore them. Even as early as four years old, I was punching in code to make primitive Squot graphics with my family’s TRS-80 computer and setting high scores in video games on the Atari 2600. A few years later, I became a pioneer of oldschool gaming, finding myself completely immersed in the Nintendo Entertainment System and Amiga 1000. The constant use of these machines was surely a factor in what drove me to become what I am today: A great big nerd.

From that point on, I attempted to master whatever electronic device I could get my hands on. I was there at the explosion of telnet and BBS usage before the modern internet, surfed the first parts of the web as they emerged, studied synthesized musical instruments and video devices in my father’s studio as I grew up, built and maintained several computers while repairing others for friends and family, designed web pages by relentlessly typing in code before graphical editors were created, and more… and I enjoyed every last second of it.

Fast forward a bit - I’ve worked mostly in the print, graphic, and web design industry in the past, but I also have five recent years of web hosting experience under my belt as well.

Today, I continue to learn as much as I can about this changing industry and strive to be as good as Batman at problem solving. Well, a guy can dream, right?

I also have a passionate focus on training and leading teams, as I love building up everyone equally and keeping morale way up. Currently, I put together training materials and documentation and teach classes or work one-on-one to do so.

The heart I put into my work gives me a serious edge, and now I would like to share that edge with you.
