Madison Swan

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) at Deakin University and reside in Melbourne, Australia. I love reading, researching and watching documentaries and media content. I use multimedia platforms such as Youtube, Facebook, Digital Newspapers, Wordpress, Twitter, Podcasts and Snapchat to name a few.

However, I still enjoy flicking through local print newspapers over a cup of hot chocolate! I feel this pang of nostalgia, remembering the days when Mum and Dad would get our "Herald Sun" delivered to the door and my brother and I would see who could get the paper the quickest. Finding it wasn't always easy haha as it was always thrown in odd places!

Horse racing and studying racehorse pedigrees have both been a major passion of mine all my life. I have studied a Diploma of Horse Breeding (Stud Management).

Other passions and interests of mine include:

Wildlife Rescue, Rehabilitation, and Conservation

Archaeology...and yes I've been to Egypt and seen the Pyramids. The Coptic Museum, in Cairo, is a must to see all the Mummies and the famous boy King Tutankhamuns Mask :)
