Madison Burich

Madison has entertained thousands as a world famous Weeki Wachee Mermaid for the past three years, but her accomplishments far exceed the binds of a tail. She has succeeded in her education at Florida State University, and will graduate this May with a Bachelor of Sciences in Media Communication Studies and Political Science.

Her professional experience also surpasses scales and flippers. Madison currently interns at Seminole Sports Marketing, assisting in the marketing and promotions for all varsity sports and other areas of athletics at Florida State University. Over the past summer she interned in New York City, at Flying Television, a celebrity events and public relations company which proved her ability to adapt to new situations quickly and successfully. She was a writer for the newspaper, The Odyssey, and wrote weekly newspaper articles that were published online and in print distributed at FSU's campus. Madison also interned for GMA Inc. working in the department of government and business development with specific focus on state and local government in Florida. Through Madison's diverse professional experience she has developed a passion for sports, event planing, public relations, and marketing and would be a beneficial asset to any company.
