Madison Larsen
Teacher and Student in Reno, NV
Hello! I’m Ms. Larsen. I'm so excited to start another school year and I am so happy that I am your teacher. I’m a Kindergarten teacher at Desert Heights Elementary School. This is my second year teaching and I live in Reno, NV.
I started my career at the University of Nevada, Reno, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies in December of 2018. When I started college, I had the goal to become a nurse. Throughout time and experiences, I learned that I loved being in the classroom so much more. My first internship was at Mount Rose Elementary School in a 4th grade classroom in August 2018. After graduating, I took on a long-term substitute position in January. I taught second grade until the remainder of the school year and I loved every day of it!
I continued subbing for about a year. I began the ARL program through WCSD in March of 2019. I am now 6 months away of completely my Master's Degree through GCU in Elementary Education. I started teaching Kindergarten at DHES last year, and I am thrilled to be returning this year.
I am a fan of travel, movies, and gardening. I’m also in love with cooking and crafts. I love making new recipes and making DIY crafts. I have a dog named Curt, and I will soon be marrying a wonderful man. I am so excited to be Mrs. Anderson in September of this year. You can schedule an appointment with a click on the button above.
