I got 57th at Nationals Y12 Sabre because of an injury, I attend Fencers Club of Arizona and go to Basis Phoenix. And this is the story to my dreams.
My dream is to be in the Olympics, to be on the strip calculating my next move, looking up and thinking, knowing, that I have to work for that touch, for that bout, for that victory...for that gold. But to get there, I have to work a lot! I fence whenever I can, and I always look to impress. I work with Bill Becker, but used to work with Oleg Stetsiv from Bergen Fencing Club. I don't know what I would do without fencing, honestly. It's become my life, hope and dream. At nationals I twisted my ankle and took 57th out of 69. Not my best day, but just walking back on the strip surprised people, which is an accomplishment, I want to surprise people, be that girl people will remember and look up too. I want to be in Rio 2016 or later, and if I'm not there, I almost am. "It only takes as long as you want it to take"-Bill Becker
I have started school at BASIS PHOENIX. t has been very hard, but I have friends to help me get through it. My teachers are supporting and only wish to help us be the smartest we can be, but I sadly know kids who wish nothing but to go back to their old school. Not me, I want to go to Stanford and get a good job someday.
My parents raised my on movie classics from the 60's 70's 80's etc. and their music. I've grown to fall in love with the music like 'How Deep Is Your Love' from the BeeGees, 'Strawberry Feilds ' by the Beetles and more.I still like more modern music and movies who I like just as much, but something just clicks with old things.Liking old fashion things in the 21st century isn't always the coolest thing in elementary and middle school which is something I've learned the hard way, but nobody can change what I love, because what I love is the music from my phone and the sword in my hand.
