Based in Rosebud, South Dakota, Dr. Madojutola “Tola” Dawodu joined the Rosebud Indian Health Hospital as an inpatient pharmacy supervisor in 2019. Her responsibilities in this role range from helping clinicians with cost-effective pharmacotherapy decisions to analyzing medication reports as a means of ensuring the safest, most effective medication profiles for patients. Dr. Madojutola Dawodu has made numerous educational presentations in this position, including a discussion on opioid-related deaths with the public health nursing staff and the Rosebud Sioux Tribe police department, the latter focusing on nasal naloxone.

Previously, Dr. Tola Dawodu served as deputy chief of pharmacy at Hopi Health Care Center in Polacca, Arizona, and in a pro bono consulting role at Codman Square Health Clinic in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Her areas of medical leadership expertise include collaborative practice agreements and project management and development, to name only a few.

Dr. Madojutola Dawodu achieved her medical degree at the Duke University Medical School. She also holds a doctor of pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. Dr. Dawodu conducted her medical training at Strong Memorial Hospital and Danbury Hospital, serving as an anesthesiology resident and internal medicine resident, respectively.
