Mary Pennington

Tacoma, Washington

While functioning as a suburban housewife, I dabbled in politics at the local and state level. When the children were ready to flee the nest, I went back to school and got a degree in public affairs, which lead to a job with a lobbying association. I retired 24 years later, having worked for four other trade associations and professional societies as Director of Governmental Affairs, then Executive Director.
