Madumetja Elijah

Student in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Hi! My name is Madumetja Elijah Kadiaka. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Senior Phase and FET Teaching degree at the University of Johannesburg, majoring in English and History. I am deeply passionate about education, mental health, and social justice, particularly in areas such as Gender-Based Violence and Mental Health awareness among young children and teenagers. This is why my long-term goal is to become an educational psychologist, which I aim to use to bridge the gap between learning and emotional well-being.

Apart from being a student, I have also been actively involved in volunteering with the University of Johannesburg Community Engagement projects, which have allowed me to work closely with initiatives that support and uplift communities. I also founded my initiative, “Raising Awareness,” which focuses on helping young children and teenagers in need, and which will also aim at raising awareness for the young children out there experiencing GBV. Though this initiative is on pause due to financial constraints, it is still very close to my heart
