Hello, my name is Felicia Phillips and I am a 4rd grade teacher in the Richmond County School System. I currently reside in Augusta, Georgia.

I grew up in Laurelton, NY. I earned my Bachelors of Science from the University of Bridgeport where I majored in accountant and minored in Business Management. I received my Master of Arts in teacher from the University of Bridgeport. I come from a background of educators. Being a mom and teacher are two of my greatest rewards that God has blessed me with.

I enjoy watching and going to basketball and football games.

I come from a family of educators. My mother was a retired teacher, my sister teaches in New York, and my cousin is a retired principal. I can continue to express my family’s successful career in education as it contributed to my decision to become an educator. My parents always instilled in my siblings and me the importance of having an education. My mother would tell us that is the one thing that cannot be taken from you. Today I instill the same values in my boys. My oldest son graduated from high school this year and my youngest son is in the 11th grade. They are both academically and athletically sound and they both have aspirations to attend college.

I am very excited to start my second term in the Media Specialist program. I look forward to learning and communicating with my fellow online scholars.

I am passionate about education. My strengths are motivating students and being a team player.
