Maegan Provan

My name is Maegan! I live in Texas with my amazing husband and dog. I'm the author of a New Adult, Urban Fantasy series called The Night Touched Chronicles along with the prequel mini series Becoming Night Touched. And yes, it's about vampires. I've always loved vampires and I'm proud to be a part of this amazing genre.

I was inspired to write about vampires after a certain perky blonde former cheerleader cartwheeled her way on to the WB and fought hard to see them slayed. I was enamored with Joss Whedon's ability to take wit, sarcasam, and symbolism and turn it into what we know to be Buffy the Vampire Slayer. A lot of my original characters from my early writing were inspired by the broody Angel, reblious Spike, femme fatale Darla, and the mad Drusilla. Those vampires acted how they wanted, drank who they wanted and didn't give a care what any one thought of them. They were vicious yet romantic and I always wanted to write about vampires like them. Of course, I'd say that my current vampires are very different from the fierce foursome, but I can't forget their roots.

I have also been inspired by the talent that is Laurell K. Hamilton. Her Anita Blake series has been running for the last 20+ years with no signs of stopping. I only hope that I can make it half as long.

I have two very dear author friends, Tricia Drammeh and Joleene Naylor, who continue to drive me every single day. Without their encouragement and suggestions, I definitely would not be where I am now.

I published my first full length novel The Night Touched Chronicles Book One: Celine in March of 2013, and the sequel The Night Touched Chronicles Book Two: Jeremy in December of 2014. Book Three is on hold right now as I am revamping Book One.

The Becoming Night Touched mini series kicked off in April of 2014 with Becoming Harper. The other releases under that series as Becoming Lily, Becoming Jason, Becoming Celine, and Becoming Silas. The sixth and final installment Becoming Jeremy will be out in due time.
